China Airlines Orders Five Additional Airbus A350-1000 Aircraft

China Airlines has placed a firm order for five additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, expanding its commitment to the advanced long-haul widebody platform. With this latest purchase, the Taiwanese carrier’s total order for the A350-1000 now rises to 15 aircraft.

The A350-1000 will complement China Airlines’ existing fleet of 15 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, strengthening the airline’s long-haul capabilities while supporting its fleet modernization strategy. The addition of the larger A350-1000 variant will enable the carrier to increase capacity on key international routes while maintaining high levels of efficiency and passenger comfort.

China Airlines leadership highlighted that the expansion of its A350 fleet is a key component of the airline’s long-term growth strategy. The aircraft’s advanced design, fuel efficiency, and modern cabin features will help the airline enhance its competitiveness in long-haul markets and improve the overall travel experience for passengers.

Airbus officials noted that the follow-on order demonstrates China Airlines’ continued confidence in the A350 platform. The aircraft’s next-generation performance, extended range capabilities, and enhanced passenger comfort make it a strong choice for airlines seeking to expand international networks and improve operational efficiency.

The Airbus A350-1000 is the largest member of the A350 family and is designed for long-haul operations with improved fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions compared with previous-generation widebody aircraft. The aircraft’s advanced aerodynamics and modern engine technology help airlines achieve lower operating costs while supporting sustainability goals.

With the additional order, China Airlines continues to strengthen its widebody fleet while preparing for future growth in long-haul international travel markets.
