ATR and Fly91 Sign Eight-Year Global Maintenance Agreement

ATR and Fly91 have signed a new eight-year Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA) to support the airline’s ATR 72-600 fleet as the regional carrier continues to expand operations across India. The agreement strengthens the partnership established when Fly91 launched operations in 2024 and ensures long-term maintenance support as the airline grows its fleet.

Fly91 currently operates four ATR 72-600 aircraft, with two additional aircraft expected to join the fleet in early 2026. The extended agreement is designed to support this growth phase by providing predictable maintenance support and improved operational reliability.

Under the Global Maintenance Agreement, Fly91 will benefit from a comprehensive range of services including lease stock availability, standard exchange and repair of line replaceable units (LRUs), as well as propeller maintenance and availability services. These services are designed to ensure high levels of aircraft availability while helping the airline manage maintenance costs effectively.

Since becoming a GMA customer in May 2024, Fly91 has relied on ATR’s maintenance support to maintain strong operational performance. The airline’s aircraft have accumulated more than 2,500 flight hours annually, highlighting the importance of reliable technical support for a rapidly growing regional carrier.

Fly91 leadership emphasized that having a dependable maintenance partner is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring consistent service quality for passengers. The agreement provides long-term visibility into maintenance costs, enabling the airline to plan its operations more effectively while maintaining high aircraft reliability.

ATR noted that as the aircraft manufacturer, it is uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive support solutions that improve fleet availability and operational performance. The Global Maintenance Agreement offers airlines a predictable maintenance framework that supports long-term fleet sustainability while ensuring reliable operations.

The partnership also reflects the strong growth of regional aviation in India, where turboprop aircraft are increasingly used to connect smaller cities and underserved regions. As India continues to expand its airport network and regional connectivity programs, aircraft such as the ATR 72 are playing a key role in enabling efficient short-distance air travel.

Through this extended agreement, ATR will continue to support Fly91’s expansion while ensuring its fleet operates with high levels of reliability, efficiency and operational readiness.
