Philippine Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-1000, becoming the tenth airline globally to operate the largest variant of Airbus’ long-range widebody aircraft. The delivery marks an important milestone in the airline’s fleet modernization and long-haul expansion strategy.
Configured in a premium three-class cabin layout with 382 seats, the aircraft is designed to enhance passenger comfort while supporting the airline’s long-haul operations. The A350-1000’s advanced aerodynamics, fuel-efficient engines, and improved range capabilities will enable Philippine Airlines to strengthen its transpacific network with non-stop services to key destinations in North America.
This delivery represents the first of nine A350-1000 aircraft that Philippine Airlines will receive as part of its ongoing fleet expansion program. The new aircraft will complement the airline’s existing fleet of A350-900 aircraft, which are already deployed on long-haul international routes.
By introducing the A350-1000, the airline aims to increase long-haul capacity while improving operational efficiency and passenger experience. The aircraft’s enhanced fuel efficiency and performance will also help reduce operating costs and support the airline’s long-term sustainability objectives.
The addition of the A350-1000 further strengthens Philippine Airlines’ widebody fleet and positions the carrier to expand its global connectivity while meeting growing demand for long-distance travel.
