KBR Secures $117 Million Contract to Support F/A-18 Foreign Military Sales Program

KBR has been awarded an estimated $117 million follow-on contract to support the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program for the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft under the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). The agreement supports the operations of the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office (PMA-265) and will help partner nations maintain operational readiness of their fighter aircraft fleets.

Under the five-year contract, KBR will provide technical expertise and program support to assist Australia, Finland and Switzerland, countries that operate F/A-18 fighter aircraft through the FMS program. The work includes engineering support, logistics management, and program implementation services designed to ensure the aircraft remain equipped with the latest technologies and remain mission-ready.

The contract also includes integrated program management, financial oversight, engineering services and lifecycle logistics support. KBR will work closely with the PMA-265 program office to sustain aircraft systems, coordinate acquisition and training activities, and support communications security operations across participating partner nations.

Through this program, KBR will play a key role in maintaining the operational performance and reliability of the F/A-18 fleet used by allied nations. The support ensures aircraft remain safe, technologically updated, and fully capable of meeting operational defense requirements.

Company leadership highlighted that the contract reflects decades of collaboration between KBR and the U.S. Navy’s aviation programs. KBR has supported the F/A-18 platform for more than 40 years, providing specialized expertise across systems engineering, cybersecurity, logistics support, and technology development.

In addition to technical sustainment services, the company also contributes to policy and program development by analyzing security assistance frameworks and National Disclosure Policy procedures. This expertise helps ensure that international defense partners can effectively operate and sustain their aircraft while maintaining compliance with U.S. defense regulations.

The contract reinforces KBR’s role as a trusted long-term partner supporting the global sustainment of the F/A-18 platform while strengthening defense cooperation between the United States and allied nations.
